No ruler and no more measuring

This is one of out favourite cake decorating accessories. The see-through template gives you accurate positioning for cake pillars and is suitable for virtually all sizes and shapes of cakes.

 The template is also useful for making lace layouts, ribbon insertion, line piping, plaques, cake collars and many other styles of decoration.

Place on top of any regular shaped  cake and

1. View the cake straight down through the template and moving the template to centralise – a pin mark through the template centre hole will locate the cake top centre.
2. For pillar layout use the 3 green or 4 purple radiating lines for pin mark positioning of 3 or 4 pillars.
3. Centralise as in 1 above – still looking straight down through the template, divide up the cake side/s with pin marking – aligning the pins with the template radiating lines.
4. Layout and tape down the template corners on a flat pale colour ‘drawing’ board. Overlay with tracing (kitchen grease proof) paper and use template lines and circles to ‘map out’ a bespoke collar design.
