No more ugly old dummy cakes or damaged show cakes! Make dummy cakes that last for years.
Features:
Perma-Ice is the ideal icing for decorating your dummy cakes, show cakes, ice cream displays and much more. Perma-Ice is a non-edible, artificial permanent icing specially formulated for creating beautiful display cakes. It is ready to use, can be coloured with non-fading acrylic colors and is washable.
Perma-ice saves the time of repeatedly decorating dummy cakes and spares the frustration of having cakes damaged while in transit or on display. Many professional cake decorators are satisfied users of Perma-Ice to decorate their show cakes and display cakes.
General usage instructions:
Perma-Ice is ready to use - no mixing is required. Perma-ice handles like buttercream icing. The same variety of delicate decorations can be made with Perma-Ice. Use non-fading colors for coloring Perma-Ice. Add color gradually to maintain the proper consistency.
Perma-Ice covers the same area as buttercream icing or royal icing. One gallon decorates about a 3- or 4-tier wedding cake depending on size or about six 8" round cakes depending on the amount of decoration.
Use the same decorating tools used for real cakes. Clean decorating tools with soap and water immediately after use to prevent hardening.
Drying:
The base coat of Perma-Ice takes about 2 hours to dry after icing a cake. After decorating roses, borders and thicker decorations, 12 to 24 hours of drying time are required. Drying time varies with temperature and humidity. Speed drying by directing a fan towards the cake. Cover the container with a moist towel when in use. Keep the lid on after use.
Cleaning cakes:
Clean cakes decorated with Perma-Ice by rinsing them under a faucet or with a wet sponge. Let cakes air dry.
Storage:
Store Perma-Ice at room temperature in a dry place with the lid on the container to keep it from drying and hardening. When properly stored, shelf life can be one to two years. Thin Perma-Ice with water if it gets a little dry.
Hints:
Thin Perma-Ice with water when icing the cake for easy and smooth application. After the icing is dry, cakes can be sanded with fine sandpaper to get an extra-smooth finish.
To avoid bleeding of colors, Perma-Ice should not come in contact with other sugar icings or food products. Glue from a hot glue gun can be used between Perma-Ice and edible decorations.
CAUTION: Do not eat, ingest or inhale! Keep out of reach of children. Do not mix with edible products.
