Ideal for all modelling and bas frelief work, where a stronger paste is required to hold its shape. It sets firm, but remains soft. Just add water. The paste is non-sticky which makes it ideal to use with moulds, making garlands, plaques, and all models where a smooth, strong finish is required.
WHAT IS MEXICAN PASTE? It is Ultra Fine Modelling Paste.
This medium is absolutely perfect for modelling. It sets very hard and makes wonderful figures and buildings. It can be rolled paper thin for dressing model characters and colours easily with paste colouring.
When mixed 50:50 with sugarpaste it gives a good firm-drying but still pliable material so is great for making frills and cut-out cake decorations. It is also an excllent base for stencil work and for making plaques which can be painted with edible colours.

Instructions for use:
Shake well before use.
Sift contents into a bowl. Add 30* ml cooled, boiled water. Mix to a soft paste. This will be much softer than other Squires Kitchen instant mix pastes. Owing to the higher proportion of gum, it will need to stand for several hours to allow the gum to absorb the water. Place in a polyethylene bag. Store in a plastic container. This paste can be frozen. When ready to use, break off small amounts and knead well until smooth and elastic. Use for bas relief, fiugre making, stencil work. To make clothes for figures, mix half and half with sugar paste.
*NB It is important to use the correct measure of water.
ONCE MIXED BEST USED WITHIN 1 MONTH.
