Mud Cake Recipe (with eggs)
For 500g of cake mix
500 grams Cake Mix
70ml vegetable oil
25g dark chocolate (cooking or coverture)
1.Combine cake mix, water & eggs and mix on low speed for 1min. Scrape down bowl, and continue to mix on high for 2mins.
2.Then turn blender to medium, gradually adding oil over 2minutes.
3.Add melted chocolate and mix on medium for 1 more minute
4.Bake at approx 135deg for approx 2hrs(Time and temperature will vary depending on your oven)
For best results, allow cake to cool in tin. (Makes an approximately an 7inch x 2 inch high Round Cake)
Ingredients: Sugar, Wheat Flour (Thiamin, Folate), Cocoa Powder (6%),
Vegetable Fat (Veg oil, emulsifiers (471, 477), antioxidant (320)), Maltodextrin, Potato Flour, Salt,
Milk Solids, Raising Agents (450, 500), Flavour. Contains: Gluten, milk.
May be present: tree nuts, egg, soy, sesame, sulphites.
GANACHE (A fantastic topping for this cake and to go under pettinice)
500ml - Thickened Cream 1kg – Chocolate
Heat Cream to boiling point, take off heat and add chocolate. Mix until smooth. Allow to cool and thicken slightly before using. Use as desired.
