There are 3 choices for delivery.

Australia Post Eparcel up to 22KG. Trackable, Requires Signature on delivery and will not be left unattended.

Australia Post Eparcel Express Post up to 22KG. Trackable, Requires Signature on delivery and will not be left unattended. Same delivery time frames as Express Post Satchels.

Australia Post Express Post Satchel Up to 5KG. Trackable, Does not require signature and will be left unattended if Australia Post deems it is safe to do so. If you choose this option it is at your own risk. Cakes Around Town take no responsibility for missing parcels if this option is chosen.


ALL DELIVERIES ARE ON A QUOTE BASIS BASED ON WEIGHT AND LOCATION. SHIPPING PRICE WILL DISPLAYED WHEN CHECKING OUT AND IS BASED ON THE WEIGHT OF YOUR ORDER, YOUR POSTCODE AND YOUR CHOSEN DELIVERY OPTION. THE MAXIMUM WEIGHT WE CAN SEND VIA AUSTRALIA POST EPARCEL OR EPARCEL EXPRESS IS 22KG. SHOULD YOUR ORDER WEIGHT TOTAL OVER 22KG WE WILL CONTACT YOU WITH DELIVERY OPTIONS.

Important update to our services

At Australia Post, we’re working hard to deliver for our customers in these difficult times. We are however, experiencing significant delivery delays in our network due to limited flights, social distancing requirements and a substantial increase in parcel volumes as more people shop online.

These delays mean we are temporarily suspending the Express Post guarantee of next day delivery as we are unable to commit to this timeframe. Express Post is still available but parcels may not be delivered next business day every time.

We know you’re keener than ever to find out when you’ll receive your deliveries. You can track your delivery through parcel tracking, the chatbot and the MyPost App. We ask for your patience with our contact centre colleagues based here in Australia who are doing their best to keep up with the additional demand.

Changing how we work to remain safe

Many customers and businesses have asked us how we are changing our ways of working to ensure the safety of our communities and teams.

Post Offices have implemented social distancing measures for all services conducted in store. Cleaning standards and personal hygiene guidelines have also been provided. Counter safety screens to improve hygiene and reduce risks are also currently being rolled out across the country. The response to this has been positive so far.

We’ve also had a number of questions regarding the safe handling of mail. The World Health Organisation and the Australian Department of Health have stated that the risk of contracting COVID-19 through handling of mail or parcels is extremely low. Nevertheless, we’ve introduced health and safety protocols in our facilities that ensure that mail and parcels are handled safely and that human contact is minimised. Contactless parcel deliveries where a signature is no longer required is also reducing risks.

**Same Day Despatch

We will post your order on the same day if you pay by credit card and your order is received by 11am Brisbane time. Despatch means to SEND your order out, and does not mean the day it will be delivered to you.*

*Please note on days that orders go above and beyond our regular order numbers, including Sales and specials, orders may not be sent out by 11am.  We reserve the right at our discretion to ensure your parcel is packed carefully and arrives as soon as possible.  Express deliveries always take precedence.

Please note Australia Post advise the following times as a guide for standard delivery from the date of despatch. Please note this is a guide only and it does not take into account peak period deliveries.

 

 - Brisbane Metro and Outer Metro areas: 2 business days. Next business day delivery if express option is chosen.

-  Sydney Metro areas: 3 business days. Next business day delivery if express option is chosen.

-  Canberra Metro areas: 2 - 4 business days. Next business day delivery if express option is chosen

-  Melbourne Metro areas: 2 - 4 business days. Next business day delivery if express option is chosen

-  Adelaide Metro areas: 3 - 5 business days. Next business day delivery if express option is chosen

 - Other Capitals, NSW, QLD, VIC and SA Regional areas: 3 - 8 business days

 - WA, TAS, NT and Remote QLD areas: 7 - 12 business days

PLEASE NOTE: If a parcel is not collected from the post office or undelivered due to an incorrect address being provided by the customer a return cost of $13.00 will be charged to the customer – this is an Australia Post charge, not a Cakes Around Town charge, for a "return to sender" parcel.  Should you require a returned order resent to you, an additional payment will need to be made for postage. The amount for postage will be the postage  cost to send the parcel again + return to sender charge. You will be contacted for payment before redelivery will be made. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure the correct shipping address is entered into the system at the time of ordering and to claim your item ASAP.

If your order is getting shipped to a company, please ensure you put the company name in the company name shipping address field or Australia Post may refuse delivery.

We ship to PO Boxes, Parcel Collect Addresses and parcel lockers.

 

 

We accept  Visa, Mastercard, EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) and Paypal on all our products. EFT and Paypal must be received into our bank before goods will be despatched.

 

Pick Up from Our Warehouse

You can order all your decorating supplies online and select the pick-up option on checkout to have your items ready and waiting for you to pick up from our warehouse at Unit 2 / 12 Sudbury Street, Darra - 5 mins from the Mount Ommaney Shopping Centre and 12km from Brisbane CBD in Queensland, Australia.  

 

Please select your pickup date and time when placing the order so we can ensure we have your order ready when you arrive, We will not send an email or text you that your order is ready for collection, as you select the date and time for pick up when checking out. Please give us at least 30 minutes to get your order ready for collection.

 

If you wish to pick up on the same day as your order is placed, Please have your order in by 11am.

 

PICK AVAILABLE FROM OUR WAREHOUSE MONDAY TO THURSDAY 9AM to 3.30PM and FRIDAY 9AM to 5.30pm

 

PLEASE NOTE: if you choose for your OWN courier to pick up your item, it will not be packaged or address labelled.

 

International Delivery -


PLEASE NOTE AS OF 20th MARCH 2020, THE AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT HAS PUT RESTRICTIONS ON INTERNATIONAL AIR CARRIERS.  WE HAVE SUSPENDED ALL INTERNATIONAL DELIVERIES UNTIL AIR CAPACITY INCREASES.  

 

Certain items in our online catalogue are unavailable for international shipping. These include aerosols, flammable liquids, electrical items, polystyrene cake dummies, oversize items as well as some items that may be categorized as hazardous materials due to their alcohol content. In addition, some items may be unavailable for shipping due to the individual policies of specific destination countries.

 

International orders are not eligible for exchanges. (items can be returned at purchaser’s expense for a refund, but not exchanged)

 

Your products value will be declared on your customs invoice and we are unable to change values on this invoice. The purchaser is responsible for any customs duty that may be applicable.

 

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to make sure the shipping address is correct at time of ordering.  The purchaser will be liable for any costs incurred due to incorrect address orders being returned to Cakes Around Town.

 

Maximum order value for shipping to International destinations will be limited to AUD 200.00 (inclusive of GST).  Maximum weight for delivery to International destinations is 10KG.

 

A signature will be required on all orders as proof of delivery.
